We do love weddings (which is a good thing, right? :D). We love what they represent, the romance and the atmosphere. We know how privileged we are – our job is to capture one of the happiest days of people’s lives! We love the big weddings, full of people who come from many parts of the UK and sometimes the world, to celebrate love! But Jo + Rob’s day was slightly different, in a beautiful way, and made us also fall in love with small, intimate weddings!
When they first got in touch, we were so excited as it was to be our first wedding with less than 60 people – an intimate wedding, for family and close friends! As soon as we arrived on the day, we were amazed by this beautiful little castle – Augill Castle, in Cumbria. We were surrounded by an atmosphere of people who genuinely knew each other. That family atmosphere, where, the natural chaos of a wedding, and love, come together.
We felt invited into an intimate moment, like a big Christmas dinner. The tears of joy during the ceremony, the beautiful but also funny speeches, and a sense of belonging that we can tell everyone present was feeling.
Whenever possible, we love to take our couples on a little adventure on their wedding day… why not, right? 🙂 As we drove through the country roads, the hills, fog, wind and even a light drizzle came to say hello, making the whole scenery so magical!
As the time to leave came, we left feeling a part of that big family – but we were also very thankful we got to meet so many great people!
We really want to say thank you to everyone and we wish you, Jo & Rob, the best season of your life! A season full of adventures and memorable moments together!
